We Haven't Gone Anywhere

Howdy, folks.
For those of you who missed the live stream (or simply don't have 4 hours to power through it), I promised you a real update, so here it is. Not a "hey, still working on it, bye" note, but the honest, sit-down-and-talk-to-you kind. Grab a coffee (or something stronger, I won't tell 🤐).
Let me start with the thing that matters most, the thing underneath every "any news?" message and every quiet worry some of you have been carrying:
High Noon hasn't gone anywhere. And I haven't abandoned you.
I know the silence got loud. I saw the comment, somebody said they were "pretty sure the ride or die rode off and died." I laughed, and then I felt it, because I understood exactly why someone would say that. When you back something, put your faith and your money into a stranger's dream, and then the updates go quiet, your brain fills in the blank. And the blank usually isn't kind.
So let me fill it in for you myself: I'm here. The wagon train is still moving. And I'm going to show you (not tell you, show you) exactly where we stand.

Why it went quiet (the honest version)
I'm a solo operator with a family, and this past stretch I had my head down on a couple things at once, including paying work that keeps the lights on so High Noon can stay independent. That's on me to communicate better. But "quiet" was never "gone." The manufacturing timeline isn't mine to control. Once files go to the factory, the ball's in their court. For a long stretch the honest update was just "no news," so I didn't send one. That was a mistake, and I'll own it. But then the news finally came. And it's big.
The samples arrived. Here's the real, unfiltered look.
After a long wait, the first physical QC samples of the 3D buildings showed up. This is the milestone we've been grinding toward for years, the first time the thing I designed exists as a real object. And I want you to see it the way I saw it. No polish. I opened these for the first time and documented everything live on the stream - the good, the wrong, all of it - because you deserve the actual state of things, not a highlight reel.
The Good...
The good news, and there's a lot of it: The buildings are real. The artwork on the walls came through beautifully. The little Easter eggs I built in - the wanted posters, the characters hidden in the details - they're there.

The bars pop out of the jail windows. There's even a hidden bit of storytelling in the bank: The ledger on the wall, the history of its patriarchs, the reminder of home... That's the kind of detail that makes this world feel alive, and it survived the trip from my head to a factory floor.

When I got the walls together and everything held, I'll be honest — I was proud. There is more right here than wrong. This is progress in the right direction, plain and simple.
The Bad...
Some pieces came back as cardboard where they were supposed to be acrylic. I was specific about that, and it didn't happen.
Floor/artwork panels are printed inverted. Backwards from how they need to be.
On the bank itself, the exterior window art came through reversed (curtains and detail on the wrong side).

...The Ugly.
Pre-scoring on pretty much all of the accessory pieces still needs to be dialed in a lot so they punch out clean. Right now, they're entirely unusable. I've reported to the factory that I don't want fold-assembly level scoring at all for the furniture, so that needs to be changed.

None of these are dealbreakers. They're the exact kind of thing a QC round exists to catch. But they're real, and they're why I can't do what part of me desperately wants to do: ship these out to you tomorrow.
Why I won't ship until it's right
Here's my line in the sand: I will not mass-produce something that's wrong. We've done that before. Every single time I've trusted a "it's ready, let's go" without a physical sample in my hands, there's been an issue. I'm not doing that again with your buildings.
"But I want it now."
I get it. Believe me, I get it more than anyone. I want it now too; this box sat in my house for a week before I opened it, so trust me, I know the feeling. But you're going to get this when it's right, not a minute before. Getting it fast and flawed helps no one. Getting it right is the whole job.

The honest timeline
I'm not going to spitball you a fake date. Here's the real process: the factory fixes these notes, then confirms the corrections to me through photos and video so I can verify every fix. Then they send one more QC sample built off those corrections. When that one is right, we produce off of it. That's when the shipping update comes.
Realistically? We're likely looking at a few more months. I wish I could say weeks. I won't lie to make you feel better today and let you down later. There is no shipping date until this is correct.
But there is a clear path, with real samples in hand instead of waiting in the dark.

What I'm fixing on my end
The manufacturing I can't rush. But the communication? That one's mine, and I dropped it. Even something little beats dead silence - a picture of progress, a note on what we're solving, a nugget so you know the builder's still at the table.
So here's my commitment: more frequent, smaller updates. Drips instead of droughts. An avalanche is made of snowflakes.

One last thing
You are going to get what you backed. Full stop. That's not a hope; it's an obligation, and it's non-negotiable. Everything I'm building beyond this campaign only exists because this campaign gets honored. So no, we haven't gone anywhere. We haven't abandoned anybody. We're closer than we've ever been, with real product in hand and a clear road to the finish.
Thank you for riding with me. The show goes on. The wagon train keeps moving. I keep working. See you at high noon. 🤠
